Years of acquisitions had resulted in a complete mismatch of enterprise systems for a Fortune 500 user of Movex who distributes office products and accessories. This had culminated in the client managing separate ERP applications, creating a major headache for support and integration.
The client contacted Anthesis to help them create a plan to convince the business they needed to upgrade from Movex to the latest version of Infor M3 and then to install this across the group. It was particularly important to find the correct partner as this project had stalled on several occasions due to internal and external factors. Anthesis was chosen on the basis of its reputation, expertise and honesty and its relationship with Infor.
Anthesis supplied a Project Manager, Michael Stride, who has over 20 years’ experience of implementing M3 and similar systems and is skilled in the identification and documentation of the benefits accruing from the introduction of a new ERP system. He worked closely with the customer and the Infor pre-sales team to isolate the business benefits in each functional business area and was able to identify the financial return for each.
The project is significant and includes the replacement of five separate ERP systems across Europe, installation of a new warehouse management system, the re-engineering of over 40 interfaces and the archiving of old data.
Approval by the US parent company has now been secured and the upgrade to Infor M3 is underway.
